Quantity Surveyor (Interior Design & Build)

We are looking for a detail-driven Quantity Surveyor to manage project costing, quotation preparation, cost control, and supplier pricing coordination for interior design and renovation projects.

This role plays a key part in protecting project profitability, ensuring accurate pricing, and maintaining strong cost discipline from quotation stage through project completion. You will work closely with Sales Designers, Project Managers, and the finance team to ensure strong commercial control and costing accuracy throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Costing & Quotation
  • Prepare accurate BOQs, cost estimates, and quotations by reviewing drawings, specifications, and design changes to ensure full scope coverage while maintaining targeted profit margins.
  • Support Sales Designers with pricing clarity, value engineering, and feasibility checks
  • Ensure quotations remain competitive while meeting targeted profit margins
2. Project Cost Control
  • Control project budgets, cost breakdowns and margins through detailed tracking of material, subcontractor, and labour costs, including pricing of Variation Orders and early identification of cost variances.
  • Support final account reconciliation and post-project cost reviews
3. Supplier Cost & Pricing Coordination
  • Prepare cost comparisons and pricing evaluations for materials and subcontractor works
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure costing, specifications, and quotation alignment
  • Review material pricing, project scope, and costing consistency to support accurate budget control
  • Assist in monitoring project cost variances and commercial discrepancies throughout project execution
4. Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Maintain accurate cost records, analysis, and margin tracking using Excel and internal systems, and prepare basic project performance reports.
  • Coordinate with Finance/ Account on quotations, project costing records, supplier invoices, and cost reconciliation while supporting improvements to costing templates and internal workflows.

Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in interior design, renovation, or construction projects.
  • Solid knowledge of material costing, construction costing structure, and project commercial management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables), costing software, or ERP systems.
  • Fluent in English (Mandarin is an added advantage).
  • High integrity, responsibility, and commitment to ensuring project profitability.
This role primarily focuses on project costing, quotation management, and commercial coordination. Procurement execution and purchasing functions are managed separately within the company workflow.
