Thompson Healthcare & Sports Medicine (THSM) is seeking a Patient Intake Specialist to join their team. THSM has recently partnered with Atlantic Health Systems to expand its medical neighborhood and aims to provide high-quality treatment and care to help patients manage and alleviate pain. The practice offers a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating services such as Acupuncture, Chiropractic, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Massage Therapy, and Physical Medicine. THSM is looking for dedicated individuals passionate about improving patients' lives.
Responsibilities
Conduct full medical insurance verifications
Input and validate new patient data
Transfer patient and insurance data between systems
Ensure accuracy and audit patient data
Report trends impacting claims, authorizations, etc.
Follow-up with referral sources for missing documentation
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer operation and navigation and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel, etc.)
Nice-to-haves
Prior knowledge of in-network and out-of-network health insurances
Prior use of Epic, EMR systems, scheduling software
One or more years of experience in an office healthcare setting
