We are looking for a qualified and detail-driven QA/QC Engineer – MEch, & EL to oversee and implement quality assurance and quality control activities related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on construction sites. The role includes monitoring MEP work execution, conducting inspections, reviewing documentation, and ensuring all installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.

1. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor the project-specific QA/QC plan for all MEP works.
  • Ensure that MEP activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, BS, DEWA, etc.), and client requirements.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of quality procedures and work instructions.

2. Inspection & Testing

  • Conduct inspections of incoming materials, installations, and workmanship for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems.
  • Issue and manage Inspection Requests (IRs) and coordinate with consultants or clients for approvals.
  • Witness and document testing and commissioning activities (e.g., pressure tests, continuity tests, insulation resistance, etc.).

3. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain QA/QC documents such as:
  • Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Method Statements
  • Material Approval Requests (MARs)
  • Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Corrective and Preventive Action Reports (CAPAs)
  • Maintain logs for inspections, testing, material approvals, and NCRs.
  • Generate weekly/monthly QA/QC reports and submit to project management.

4. Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants for quality-related matters.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to site teams regarding installation methods and quality standards.
  • Ensure all MEP work is ready for consultant/client inspection as per schedule.

5. Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Conduct toolbox talks or quality briefings with the MEP site team.
  • Participate in internal audits and support third-party audits as required.
  • Identify quality issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
