Job Summary
Support the Lead Engineer / Engineering Manager in development and implementation of the Strategy outlined for the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Responsibilities
Support the Lead Engineer / Engineering Manager in development and implementation of the Strategy outlined for the Mechanical Engineering Department.
Review project design basis and specifications to ensure integrity in-line with project requirement.
Evaluation of vendor offers, Raising TQs, Preparation of Technical Bid Evaluation and Post order vendor documents review.
Participate in the supplier tender process including development of scope, input to the tender evaluation and clarification activities.
Preparation of Deliverable list & Schedule, Man-hour estimate, Resource requirement and Progress report.
Participating in Design Review and Progress Review meetings.
Evaluation / Review / Checking of Design Documents / Drawings.
Communication, people management, analytical and coordination skills.
Engineer shall have good interface knowledge with other disciplines especially Process, Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation etc. and knowledge of all discipline documents and drawings is required.
Review designs & plans, layouts, working drawings and managing resources to ensure execution of projects within time and budgeted parameters.
Monitor closely the fast-track projects and meet the project deadline on time.
Deftness in swiftly ramping projects in coordination with clients, consultants & contractors.
Allocating tasks to Team Lead & Technical Expert on abroad site for technical support if required.
Proven technical experience in Rotating Equipment Engineering with extensive skills using essential seal selection, type of pump selections, NPSH verification, pump curve interpretations, participating in FAT of all types of pump & compressors.
Standardization of Design Procedures and review Check list and Design Guidelines.
Experience/Education/Skill-set Required
Essential:
Bachelor's Degree / Postgraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree from a recognized university.
Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering from Oil and Gas industry (Upstream & Downstream) related to Rotating and Package Equipment.
Good knowledge in Equipment Design (Rotary).
Knowledge of International Mechanical Codes and Standards, like ASME, API 610, API 674, API 675, API 676, API 617, API 618, API 619, API 672 etc. applicable to Rotary Equipment.
Proven technical experience in Rotating Equipment Engineering with extensive skills using essential seal selection, type of pump selections, NPSH verification, pump curve interpretations, participating in FAT of all types of pump & compressors.
