UOWD has a dedicated Careers and Alumni Relations Office that works with the support of the University to extend the opportunities for current student and graduates to engage with university life The office promotes communication with and amongst alumni and supports the creation of networks and leadership groups to advance the interests of the UOWD student and graduate community The Internship Coordinator operates in a dynamic student focused environment that requires flexibility including variable hours during peak periods and occasional evening or weekend events for networking The role may also involve occasional travel within the UAE to meet with industry partners and attend events The main purpose of the role is to coordinate and facilitate the internship placement process ensuring successful student placements with industry partners that enhance students practical learning experiences and contribute to their career readiness Roles and ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the internship program ensuring alignment with academic goals and industry needs Provide mentorship and support to students during their internship journey Develop and manage relationships with industry partners to secure quality internship opportunities Serve as the primary liaison with academic schools to align internship objectives with academic goals identify industry partnership opportunities and ensure consistent promotion of internships to students through academic channels Coordinate the placement process for students ensuring timely and relevant internships Match students with internship opportunities that align with their career goals Provide ongoing support and guidance to students and employers during the internship process Conduct sessions to prepare students for their internships Monitor and evaluate student internship experiences Plan an organize workshops and events to prepare students for internships Maintain accurate records and data on internship placements and outcomes Enhance data collection for student placements and follow up with employers to gather feedback Manage and maintain the Career Services System ensuring it is updated with internship opportunities and student records Eligibility RequirementsQualifications Bachelor s degree in Higher Education Student Affairs Human Resources or a related field Career advising certification is desirable Experience At least 3 years of experience in careers services and coordinating internship programs or student placements Proven track record in relationship management with industry partners Experience in career services student placement or industry engagement is highly desirable Skills Excellent organizational and project management skills Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work with diverse student and alumni populations Proficiency in data management and reporting Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Ability to mentor and support students in their career development Compensation BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a remuneration package which includes an attractive competitive tax free salary depending on the profile of the candidate and relevant experience five weeks of paid leave per year annual air ticket private medical insurance for self and eligible dependents life disability policy professional development assistance education allowance for up to 3 eligible children professional development and fee waiver for self and dependents looking to pursue higher studies Equal Opportunity StatementUOWD is an equal opportunity employer that attracts develops motivates empowers and retains a diverse workforce
